For a few years now, there has been a Facebook page called Unipower GT, which has attracted a large following to its photographic posts. Unfortunately often posts published, have been either historically incorrect or misleading. The Club has in the past contributed verified corrections to statements made, but for various good reasons has decided not to contribute further.
The same applies to a website calling itself the 'Unipower GT Register', which has plagiarised the long established name of this Club which has been in existence since 1972. Information and descriptions of Unipower GT's provided on this site are regrettably often incorrect and misleading, as it's administrator, a Unipower GT owner, does not have access to verified historical information.
The Unipower GT Owners Club & Register wishes it known that it is not linked in any way to the aforementioned media sites nor does it necessarily agree with or support the information or statements published in them.
Only fully verified and researched historical information is published on the Club's website www.unipowergt.uk , which is fully verified and supported by its Patron, Ernie Unger the Founder of the Unipower GT, so as to ensure the integrity of the marque. The Club has its own Facebook Page called 'Unipower GT Owners Club & Register' as well as an Instagram page on 'unipower gt owners club'.
The book on the history of the Unipower GT and all the cars produced, authored by myself having over 50-years of practical ownership and of running the Owners Club in its various forms, with its content verified by both Founder and Designer, is due for publication shortly. The book will provide accurate historical detail on every car built, as well as the history of the car from conception through to current day including its competition history. It will dispel many propagated myths and finally establish in a book, the definitive history of these special cars.
