Brighton Metropole National Classic Car Show 1981

The Club have been exhibiting at principally the National Classic Car Shows since the late 70's starting way back at Alexandra Palace. Since then we had attended the Show every year but as time went by, careers and commitments extended the time between Shows. Over the last few years, exhibiting has increased again to every or alternate years, the last being in 2025 at the NEC Classic Motor Show as it is now known.

The flashback photo is from 1981 and our Stand at the Brighton Metropole Hotel Exhibition Centre when we had two Unipower GT's on display. The photo is of chassis 7662, now last remaining ex-Works racer campaigned in the 1969 World Sports Car Championship, adorned with some of the motorsport trophies I had won that year. My wife to be, had came along to add some much welcome help and support to our Stand.
