Another 'Lost' Unipower GT surfaces in the USA
Back in late 1967, as part of those Unipower GT's imported by its American Agent, this car was sold soon after to its american owner, however the identity of whom was never passed back to the Factory such that the offical records could be updated. So as far as the Club was concerned, this car was 'labelled' as being last located in the USA but current whereabouts unknown.
So it was a huge suprise to be contacted by Daniel Maddox in the USA to tell me that he had purchased the car from the deceased owners estate along with another car which he had been after. The deal however was that the Unipower GT had to be part of the sale, and this is where the next turn in the tale arises. Daniel does not wish to keep the car, so is advertising it both in the USA and through the Club in the UK & Europe.

The car was supplied by the factory as a LHD version painted in white with two-blue stipes, it being a 1275 version fitted with a Cooper 'S' engine and transmisiopn along with the 1275 version trim, padded dashboard etc....
What is amazing is that aparently in 1972 the car was laid up in a dry garage and has stayed there unused until now. Fortunatly the conditions of storage appear to have been kind to the car as it seems in quite good shape. However the engine has been removed as well as the headlamps for some reason. Mileage has not been ascertained at this time.

It would be wonderful if it could be brought back to the UK or Europe again and restored to working order. Full details of this totally unique car are on the ' Car Sales' pages of this website. Any questions/queries about the car should made diret with Daniel unless any assistance, susequent to purchase, is required by the purchaser to register the car with the UK DVLA, in which case please contact myself at the Club.
