I've been delighted to have accepted an invitation to display the first and last now surviving factory entered Competition GT spec car at the London Concours to be held at the Honourable Artillery Club in London, this year as a 3-day event over the 8th-10th June.
This is a remarkable invitation, as it will be the second year in succession that a Unipower GT will have been on show at this prestigious Concours event and is most unusual for a single marque to be invited back so soon. Perhaps that the car has a uniquely verified racing history and that in its factory Yellow, will stand out amongst the 70 other superb examples from a truly eclectic mix of significant marques on show. To support the high standard typical of such an event, the car is going into the workshops to have some minor paint blemishes corrected, but will retain its historical interior patina in line with other such historic examples.
The additional day on the Thursday will be Supercar Day, featuring a collection of cars from Bugatti, Ferrari, Lambourghini and more...
Looks like it will be a fantastic event as usual and hopefully the weather will play ball, after one of last years days being very wet. Veuve Clicquot will be providing the bubbles again this year !.
If any UK based Owners and/or enthusiasts of the marque are near London at this time, the London Concours is definitely worth attending, but probably best to book in advance, given the likely restriction on attendance numbers due to the Covid pandemic. However as with last year, there will be comprehensive measures in place on the day to ensure the safety of all attendees.
So look forward to hopefully see as many Unipower GT supporters over the three days as can attend.
