It is with sadness that Nick Ouroussoff, who was Engineering Manager on the Unipower GT during the UPD and early UWF production periods, passed away at his home in May this year.
As well as his role in ensuring the engineering excellence of the Unipower GT's, he was also heavily involved in the production of the Quasar Unipower Cube vehicle built in collaboration with the Vietnamese designer, Quasar Khan, that was such a head-turner in the late 60's. After leaving Unipower, Nick formed Ouroussoff Engineering based in Kew, London, where amongst other things, his engineering skills turned to robotic automation. In the later years he moved to the West of England where he would eventually retire.
Having been in contact with Nick for many years, I last visited Nick and his good wife Mary shortly before his condition worsened and whilst I was aware of Nick's passing a few weeks ago, as a Club, I'm sure you will all join me in expressing our sincere condolences to his wife and family.
