LTM 80G has its first shakedown test following its extensive rebuild

Updated: Apr 22, 2022

You may have been following the rebuild of LTM 80G as featured in the Club's Blog pages. The car had started life as a road car subsequently owned by the well known Journalist/Editor/Publicist, Peter Filby before in later ownership being converted for competitive use. This involved considerable modification to the bodywork and some rose-jointing of suspension components using adapters to connect to the road specification chassis, as well as a number of other modifications.

Its current owners, Howard and Bob bought the car without engine and proceeded to rebuild the car with the benefit of Bob's race car workshops and his team personnel. The Club were also instrumental in providing support and knowledge during its rebuild based on its extensive past experience.

Eventually after its extensive rebuild, Howard contacted the Club with some photos and a short video taken of the car at its recent shakedown test at a local airfield. Our thanks to Howard and Bob for the following and look forward to its first competitive outing at the Prescott hill climb on the 14th May 2022. This will be followed by another outing at the Kop hill climb near Princes Risborough over the 24th-25th September. 2022.
