This very early UPD production Road version was ordered in late January 1966 and delivered in September that year to its first owner in England. Originally painted White and fitted with a 998cc Cooper engine/gearbox, Cosmic Mk1 Alloy wheels. The car's Wind-up window doors were replaced under a factory recall with Sliding glass doors in January 1967. It is understood that the first and second owners may have competed in the car some time. during 1972 - 1975. After another two owners in the UK, when the car was painted the two tone colour schem as shown, the car was exported to its 5th owner in Japan before being sold again to Mini-Delta in Osaka, Japan where it underwent a ground-up restoration, being finally completed in January 2020. Having retained its 998cc Cooper engine until its last change of ownership, it is now fitted with a 1300cc  Cooper 'S' engine complete with Limited Slip Differential transmission.
